The Hollywood Reporter says that a part two for Laura Jean and Peter Kavinsky is “one of the first movies being discussed” as part of a new deal between Paramount Pictures and Netflix.
Director Susan Johnson’s previously hinted that the story will center around a character that was only introduced in the credits
"Relationships are hard to navigate and they'll find themselves in one. And they'll discover what the next person might bring in John Ambrose McClaren. The next shiny face comes in and you're like, 'Oh shoot, this guy's really nice too. What do I do?’"
