The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul on Saturday.
The two leaders reviewed the growing bilateral ties between their countries and explored opportunities for further collaboration in various areas including economy, advanced technology, renewable energy, transport and logistics, manufacturing, tourism and culture.
They also discussed various regional and international developments and stressed the importance of promoting regional stability and cooperation.
Sheikh Mohamed congratulated Erdogan on the success of the recent electoral process and for the trust and confidence placed in him by the Turkish people.
The meeting follows the signing earlier this year of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Turkey.
The Turkish President extended a warm welcome to the UAE delegation, and stated that his country attaches special importance to its relations with the UAE, which it considers a key partner in supporting development, stability and peace.
