The UAE is intensifying its relief efforts in Gaza through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, aimed at addressing the critical humanitarian crisis in the territory.
One key initiative, the 'Subsidised Bread' project, supports 14 bakeries in Khan Younis and Central Gaza, providing essential ingredients and wheat flour to produce and distribute bread daily to local citizens and displaced individuals.
This effort plays a vital role in ensuring food security amid a severe wheat shortage.
Hamad Al Neyadi, Head of the UAE Relief Mission, said that this support aligns with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to assist Gaza’s residents in overcoming their challenges and meeting basic needs.
He added that the project is part of a broader, sustainable effort to aid families in need and ensure access to vital food supplies.
Following the ceasefire, Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has intensified its relief efforts, prioritizing immediate needs while also implementing development projects to improve living conditions.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, reaffirmed the country's commitment to enhancing its housing system to meet the needs of citizens quickly and effectively.
Emirates will resume its services to Beirut, Lebanon, from February 1 with a daily flight. The airline will also reinstate daily services to Baghdad, Iraq, on the same day.
