The CBSE board exams for students in the UAE's Indian curriculum schools are expected to go ahead as normal.

They are not likely to be affected by the four-week-long closure of educational institutions in the country.

Amol Vaidya, Senior Director of Operations at the Global Indian International School, shared this update with ARN News.

He added that plans are also being drawn up to ensure there’s minimal disruption to the other internal exams and assessments that are usually conducted during this time of the year.

Online testing and open-book exams are some of the options being considered.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Mick Gernon, Chief Education Innovation Officer at GEMS Education.

Pramod Mahajan, Principal of Sharjah Indian School, explained that efforts are being taken to ensure the exam centres are sanitised.
