In a move to support family time during Ramadan, the UAE's Ministry of Education has announced that public school students will switch to remote learning on Fridays during the holy month.

This initiative, starting from the first Friday of Ramadan, allows students to engage in home activities alongside their families.

It's part of the 'Ramadan with Family' programme, which aims to create a positive environment that strengthens the values of Ramadan in young minds.

The Ministry clarified that students with exams scheduled on Fridays will attend school in person, as per their exam schedules.

While students transition to remote learning, teaching staff will continue to work at schools on Fridays.

Parents who prefer their children to attend school in person can still send them, but will need to arrange transportation. Teachers will supervise students to ensure they follow the regular school curriculum.

To assist with the transition, the Ministry has prepared a guidance manual for both students and parents, with tips on how to make the most of Fridays, including cultural and religious activities.
