UAE offers condolences to victims of train collision

The UAE expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with India over the victims of a train collision in in the state of Odisha, that left nearly 300 dead and hundreds more injured.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere condolences to the Government of India and its people and the families of the victims of this tragedy, as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan took to his official Twitter account to extend his heartfelt condolence to the victims. 

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also extended his "thoughts and prayers" in a special Twitter post.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, also sent similar messages to President Droupadi Murmu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
