The United Arab Emirates has expanded its visa-on-arrival programme for Indian nationals, now including those with valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from six new countries.

Starting from February 13, 2025, Indian citizens holding ordinary passports and valid documentation from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada will be eligible for a visa upon arrival at all UAE entry points.

This expansion adds to the list of previously eligible countries, which includes the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom. The announcement was made by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, reflecting the strengthening ties between the UAE and India.

The new initiative is designed to boost tourism, attract skilled workers and entrepreneurs, and further cement the UAE's status as a global hub for business and innovation.

As part of the new process, applicants must ensure their passport is valid for at least six months and pay the prescribed fees in accordance with the regulations.
