People urged to use mobile technology for CPR emergencies

NULL

It’s being recommended that people use social media and mobile apps to alert CPR responders to an emergency. The American Heart Association say the technology can result in a "higher rate of bystander-initiated CPR." According to national news agency WAM, the leading app, PulsePoint Respond, alerts users to a nearby cardiac arrest, and directs them to the location. It also provides guidance and notifies users of the closest available Automated External Defibrillator.
