Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced plans to launch four new bus routes connecting metro stations and enhance several existing routes, starting August 30.

These changes are designed to improve daily commuting and ensure smoother travel across the emirate.

New routes:

  • Route 31 will be replaced with two new metro link routes, F39 and F40. Route F39 will operate between Etisalat Bus Station and Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1, while F40 will connect Etisalat Bus Station with Mirdif, Street 78. Both routes will have a 30-minute frequency.
  • Route F56 will be replaced by two other metro link routes, Routes F58 and F59. Route F58 will travel from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City, and Route F59 will connect Dubai Internet City Metro Station with Dubai Knowledge Village, each also with a 30-minute frequency.

Modified routes:

  • Route 21 will be split into two routes: 21A and 21B. Route 21A will run from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, and Route 21B will travel in the opposite direction.
  • Route 61D will merge with Route 66, and Route 95 will merge with Route 95A, which will be adjusted to start from Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront, to Parco Hypermarket and cover Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
  • Route 6 will be shortened to run from Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City, while Route 99 will be modified to cover JAFZA One and Route F31 will add new stops in The Greens.
  • Additional changes include Route F45 gaining new stops in Al Furjan, removal of the JAFZA One stop from Route F54, and intercity Route E700 to Fujairah will now start from Etisalat Bus Station instead of Union Bus Station.
  • The RTA's Public Transport Agency will also improve 35 bus routes to ensure timely arrivals, including Routes 6, 20B, 26, 36A, 36B, 50, 66, 83, 88, 95A, 96, 99, 320, C01, C09, C10, F03, F05, F07, F10, F18, F23, F23A, F24, F31, F45, F46, F47, F49, F53, F54, SM1, X02, X25, and X92.
