Dubai Police have increased the number of officers on traffic patrol to deal with the expected travellers on the roads for Eid Al Adha.

Dubai Customs expects as many as 30,000 travellers to cross the UAE-Oman border at Hatta over the Eid holiday period.

“We are expecting between 8,000 and 10,000 passengers crossing the border daily during the holy occasion," said Hamad Kajour, Director of Hatta Border Crossing.

"For this, we have dedicated four lanes to deal with the passenger traffic at rush hours, with more officers on duty who will help passengers and welcome them with a smile and Eid sweets.”

Around 2 million passengers cross the Hatta border every year.
