Renault is the latest Formula One team to put "the vast majority" of their UK staff on enforced absence until at least the end of May due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The management of the French carmaker is also taking a pay cut.
In a statement, it explained that "the vast majority of Enstone staff will effectively have a total shutdown (furlough) until May 31".
The carmarker is applying for UK's job retention scheme that will "guarantee a minimum of 80 per cent of the actual salary for all team members".
Three other British-based teams - McLaren, Williams and Racing Point - have already announced furloughing staff, with drivers also taking pay cuts.
