Chasing a victory target of 178 in Ahmedabad, the visitors won the game with four balls remaining.
Rajasthan were reduced to 4 for 2 at one stage, but captain Sanju Samson (60 off 32 balls) and Shimron Hetmyer (56 not out off 26 balls) hit quickfire half-centuries to set up the win.
Mohammed Shami took three wickets for Gujarat, conceding 25 runs off four overs.
Earlier, the Titans posted a total of 177-7 after losing the toss and put to bat.
David Miller top scored with 46 off 30 balls, while Shubman Gill (45) and skipper Hardik Pandya (28) struck a crucial 59-run partnership.
Rajasthan Royals currently head the standings with 8 points from five games - two points ahead of second-placed Lucknow Super Giants.
