Banned sporting drug Meldonium can take months to leave the body, the manufacturer of the substance has said. More than 100 tests on athletes, including tennis star Maria Sharapova have come back positive since the drug was made illegal by the World Anti-Doping Agency on January 1. Manufacturer Grindeks from Latvia says the time it takes to be eliminated depends on the dosage, length of usage and how sensitive a drug test is.
