Every month we feature a homegrown music talent coming straight from The Middle East.

Layla is an established signer and songwriter, recognized by Emirates Woman as Artist of the Year in 2017 and Esquire Middle East Music Award in 2018. Aiming to represent ethnic euphoria on a global stage through her melodic riffs and rhythmic beats, Layla captivates her audience with true flair and we can’t wait for you to hear her music!

Through her music, Layla tells of her plight to go up against social conventions as a Middle Eastern woman and break free from the expectations of her community. Layla’s lyrical aim is to inspire other women to follow their passion on their path, despite societal expectations.
