A new one-word trend on Twitter has caught everyone's fancy, with several top brands and celebrities, including US President Joe Biden and Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, joining in on the fun.

According to reports, it was American train service provider Amtrak that kicked-off the trend, with their tweet - "trains".

It has garnered 152,000 likes and has triggered Twitteratti to use a single word to describe what they do or believe in.

Joe Biden tweeted "Democracy", while NASA wrote, "Universe". Soon, media outlets like Washington Post and CNN, and brands like Starbucks, McDonald's, Google Maps and ICC followed.

Even, Marvel's Deadpool won over hearts by tweeting, "deadpool".

In the UAE, Dubai Police joined in with their tweet: "safety & security", while Emirates NBD wrote: "banking". Telecom provider du, online retailers Noon and Amazon also contributed to the trend.

However, not everyone's happy with the trend, with some claiming that the tweet from Amtrak was a mistake by an "intern" on their social media team.
