The US House of Representatives has passed a resolution officially condemning US President Trump's recent verbal attacks on four congresswomen.

The leader took to twitter saying the women, who are all US citizens, should "go back" to the countries they "came from".

However, he's denied he was prejudiced, saying: "I don't have a racist bone in my body!".

The vote passed by 240 votes to 187.

The congresswomen involved recently dismissed the comments as a distraction, saying people should direct their focus on policies instead.

Discussions took place after the vote, with Democratic Representative Al Green filing articles of impeachment against President Trump.

However, the Democratic leadership has refused to pursue that.
