Suspect in Philadelphia police shooting taken into custody

The suspect in the Philadelphia police shooting standoff has been taken into custody early Thursday.

The standoff that stretched for seven hours left six officers wounded.

Two more officers and three civilians who were trapped inside the house where the gunman had barricaded himself were rescued by a SWAT team.

Police said the man opened fire on the police as they served a drugs warrant.
