A Hamas leader, along with four people, were killed as a result of an Israeli strike on a car in the West Bank, while the Israeli army said that its aircraft targeted a cell of militants.

The Hamas media outlets announced on Saturday.

Palestinian media reported that four bodies were recovered following an Israeli bombing in the occupied West Bank.

Hamas sources said that one of the leaders of the Al-Qassam Brigades in Tulkarm was killed in the Israeli bombing that targeted a Palestinian vehicle.

Reports indicated that the leader killed in the Israeli bombing was Haitham Nour al-Din Balidi, 25 years old, a resident of Tulkarm camp.

For its part, the Palestinian News Agency "Wafa" said on Saturday morning that five young men were killed as a result of an occupation drone bombing a vehicle they were travelling in on the Zeta-Atil road north of Tulkarm, noting that the car was completely engulfed in flames with all those in it.

Wafa quoted the director of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm, saying that there were five charred bodies, one of which was identified as Haitham Nour al-Din Belidi.

For its part, the Israeli army said that its aircraft targeted a militant cell.
