Adidas has teamed up with one of Dubai's iconic restaurants, Ravi, for a unique sneaker collaboration.
The limited-edition ‘SUPERSTAR RAVI’ is designed with a colourway accented in Ravi’s iconic green.
It pays tribute to the owner's Pakistani heritage and features a custom sock liner with a hand-drawn map of the river Ravi.
The heel tab branding includes the year Ravi opened alongside the name in English and Arabic, along with three sets of laces.
The restaurant owners hand-picked the names of the six dishes from their menu to be placed on the tongues of the sneakers, which are printed in English on one side and Arabic on the other.
Every pair is packaged in a limited-edition takeaway box, and comes with a detachable hangtag featuring the restaurant’s logo.
It'll be available from June 23 at select stores in Dubai and online.
"My family has worked so hard to bring Ravi to where it is now, it has become more than just a restaurant with staff and customers, it has become a home that many grew up with. To say that Ravi had a humble beginning and is now representing Dubai as a key city with Adidas is a milestone to celebrate," said Ravi founder Chaudary Abdul Hameed in a released statement.
The new collection is part of a series of 11 sneakers honouring legendary eateries from 11 different locations across the world.
