The much-anticipated trailer for "The Crown"'s sixth season has dropped, giving viewers a glimpse into its portrayal of Princess Diana's passing.

Set to premiere in two segments later this year, the concluding season of the popular Netflix drama sees Imelda Staunton reprising her role as Queen Elizabeth II, alongside Dominic Cooper as Prince Charles and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana.

This latest trailer underscores the intense media scrutiny Diana faced, especially in the time leading up to her death at 36 in 1997, with paparazzi relentlessly invading her privacy.

Every season of The Crown chronicles a period of the Royal Family's history, and Season 6 delves into the late 1990s.

The first segment will show the love story of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed and their tragic end. Additionally, the synopsis for Season 6 mentions Prince William's return to Eton post his mother's demise, the challenges the monarchy faces amidst shifting public sentiments, Queen Elizabeth's musings on the monarchy's future during her Golden Jubilee, and the evolving Royal narratives with Charles and Camilla's union, as well as the blossoming romance of William and Kate.
