This Harvey Weinstein story just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Now Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow are coming out with accusations about the disgraced movie producer. Both say Weinstein harassed them early in their careers. Paltrow says he tried to get her to give him a private massage in his hotel room, but she refused. Her boyfriend at the time, Brad Pitt, confronted Harvey and told him to “never touch her again.” Angelina Jolie says she had a bad experience with him in her youth and chose never to work with him, but she didn’t elaborate with what that experience was.
Multiple women, including Mira Sorvino, Rosanna Arquette, and Asia Argento, have shared their harrowing accounts of sexual assault and harassment by the film executive Harvey Weinstein. “I’ve been damaged. Just talking to you about it, my whole body is shaking. I know the damage is there, and will continue to be there,” the actress Asia Argento said. He was even recorded by an Italian model who was wearing a wire for police back in 2015. It’s pretty creepy. Police didn’t think the recording was enough evidence to arrest him for anything, but Weinstein did pay the woman for her silence.
Meanwhile Harvey’s wife of ten years, Georgina Chapman, has announced she’s leaving him, citing “unforgivable actions”
And there is at least one actress defending him – Lindsay Lohan.
Princess Kate made her first appearance since announcing she’s pregnant, and we got a little peak at the new royal baby bump.
And staying with the Royals for a moment, how much is Prince Harry worth do you think? Maybe not as much as you’d guess. According to website The Richest, Harry is worth around £30 million. That’s nothing to sneeze at right, but compare it to what’s in 2-year-old Princess Charlotte’s bank account – £3.2 billion. Almost makes you feel sorry for the guy. Almost.
(Swipe left to see + videos) 9th October: #PrinceHarry announced a new partnership designed to improve the #mentalhealth of current and former #ArmedForces personnel by rolling out support to veterans and those still serving across the three services. The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will provide advice and resources to the Ministry of Defence to improve training and education. Later that day HRH presented the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards at the War Imperial Museum.
And, for no real reason, here’s someone playing the Pirates of the Caribbean music on two calculators.
Which I thought was impressive, until I saw the same person playing the Super Mario music on 4 of them.
